Marlborough Local Body Elections 2022
“Meet the Candidate Zoom Meeting” - 20th September 7pm.
With local body elections approaching, it’s time to meet the candidates so you can make an informed decision on who to vote for.
We have nine candidates for the Marlborough Sounds Ward, two candidates for the Māori Ward and four candidates for the Mayoralty. The following is a list of candidates, who will either speak at the meeting live, or will be submitting a pre-recorded message: (The sequence has been randomly selected)

Each candidate will be allocated 5 minutes for their presentation - to introduce themselves and share three key messages regarding their desire to run for council.
They will also speak to questions covering aspects important to the Sounds rates payers. Here we need your input. Please submit to us no more than three questions you would like to see considered - no later than the 15th of September. There will be no live Question and Answer session. Please email your questions to . We will select the three most common questions for each candidate group.
The meeting is limited to 500 participants and we will record the presentation just in case you are not able to make it on the day, but wish to view it later.
Voting is a way to have your say on what happens in your community. Voting papers will be sent out on the 16th of September and your postal vote needs to be received by midday the 8th of October.
